IT's gross!
Newly diagnosed here.
I have been coughing so violently - well now its calmer - but I tend to barf as well - it get's quite scary!
Now the throat is overly sensitive because of the acid that it has made it almost a given that if I cough I barf.
Anyone else been through this?
help?

Re: cough - barf-cough - barf...sorry
Sun, September 9, 2007 - 12:26 AMI've coughed so hard I've barfed. Actually, sometimes using the inhalor opens things up enough to cough and I barf from that. It hasn't happened in a long time, so maybe you learn to control it with time, avoid triggers and all that. Sometimes I get the hiccups when I'm having an asthma attack. -

Re: cough - barf-cough - barf...sorry
Tue, November 6, 2007 - 6:15 AMthat describes my bad attacks, the ones that sneak up on me after I exercise. I found the chloraseptic (sp) tabs, the ones for really sore throats that numbs really helps. You have to get it way back on the tounge then it sticks to the roof of your mouth. Then the numbness drops down the back of the throat. Normally I have a reaction to that type of med but in this case one tab every 30 min or so helps. I also just keep the liquids up, soothing ones, as the throat heals, but not much or if tummy get full and you start coughing again opps.
