Re: What are you ON?!
Thu, December 7, 2006 - 7:22 PMChronic obstructive pulmonary disoder, a catchall diagnosis for people with crappy lung. Like emphysema. Usually you get it after years of smoking and crappy living. I'm only 34 smoked for 5 yrs or so. After I quit I kept working in a smoky bar. Bit of a bummer. wiki it for more info.

Re: What are you ON?!
Sun, December 17, 2006 - 5:54 PMI'm on a bronchodilator -- salbutomal, a generic brand of ventolin.
I'm on it so frequently (couple times a day) that the doctors push me constantly to go on a steroid of some sort, which has always kind of just creeped me out... although recently I gave in and tried a new one on the market: Alvesco. I don't know what's in this shit, but I fainted after taking it, no joke. one minute I was dizzy and wobbling and the next thing I knew I woke up on the floor. scary. I had a similar super dizzy and almost seizure-ish feeling years ago after taking Becloforte/Beclovent, another steroid. so, back to ventolin, which doesn't do that to me. anyone else had this experience with corticosteroids? -

Re: What are you ON?!
Thu, December 21, 2006 - 10:02 AMNope. In fact Advair has been like a miracel for me although my doc wants to try me on Singulair next year to see if it also will keep my allergies in check.
